To make sure that we are able to place your order successfully with each merchant, Items serves as the “Merchant of Record” for orders that are placed via Items Smart Shopping Assistant. This means that rather than the original retailer, Items will appear on your credit card statement whenever you make an order through the app. It’ll appear like this on your credit card charge:

While your order is processing, we will pre-authorize your debit or credit card. It won’t be charged until your order ships.

In case you return a product that you ordered to the original retailer (within the return policy terms of the retailer), we will make sure that the funds are securely returned back to your original payment method.
