John, “the disciple whom Jesus loved,” paints a vivid portrait of Jesus with stories and perspectives unique to his gospel. From his deep friendship with his Lord, John gives us stunning insight into the identity of Jesus—the Divine Son of God. At the same time, John includes personal conversations with the disciples that are not found elsewhere in the Bible.
