Joifny H, the homeless son of an infamous dictator, must go on an incredible journey to discover more about himself and his world in order to finally accept himself, his heritage, and his past. ****** The homeless, overly self-conscious son of a dictator, Joifny H, gets his normal, quiet, lonely life turned upside down at the start of his sixth grade year in 1939—in both good ways and bad, but it feels like only bad—and it only seems to go downhill from there. Just when things are starting to look up for him, though, the final blow happens when Joifny comes face to face with Kent Meeks, a man who has had his eyes on him for years. And not for a good reason. After his unpleasantly jarring experience with Kent, Joifny is faced with a multitude of feelings that he's never felt before. In the end, he has to decide how he feels about himself. The enemy and his friends seem to be telling him two different things. It is who he chooses to listen to in the end that will make all the difference.
