Ideal for large flies and tight spaces: Effortless casting heads Effortlessly cast large flies and heavy sinking tips Maximizes rod loading for extended casts Potent front taper for effortless weight turnover Ideal for shorter rods or space-constrained casting Enhanced sensitivity with low-stretch core Improved take detection, hook sets, and fish control Slickest, most durable coating with SlickCast RIO's Skagit Max Power heads excel in casting large flies and heavy sinking tips with remarkable ease. Their unique weight distribution deeply loads rods for extended casts, while the robust front taper ensures sufficient power to turn over all necessary weight to place the fly in the strike zone. The shorter head lengths make Max Power ideal for shorter rods or when space is limited behind the caster. The low-stretch core offers exceptional sensitivity during casting and fishing, enhancing take detection, hook sets, and control when playing a fish. Furthermore, this line features SlickCast, creating the most durable, low-friction coating available in a fly line.
