This book grew out of a burden I have carried for a long time—to help believers approach Scripture with understanding, confidence, and genuine enjoyment. Over the years, I have met many sincere Christians who love the Bible but struggle to stay connected to it. The issue is rarely desire. More often it is the lack of a clear framework. They read faithfully, yet still feel unsure about how the pieces fit together or how the story moves from beginning to end. Mind on Fire was written to address that struggle. The Bible was never meant to be read as a collection of disconnected passages. It tells one unfolding story—the story of God’s redemptive work in history, fulfilled in Jesus Christ. When Scripture is read in its historical and chronological flow, patterns begin to surface. Connections sharpen. What once felt fragmented starts to make sense. Memorizing the New Testament books in order is not simply an exercise for the mind; it provides orientation. It gives the reader a sense of place, so each passage is understood within its proper setting. This book is practical. It is meant to help readers learn how to 1. Read the Old and New Testaments in a way that highlights how God’s plan unfolds over time and 2. Memorize the New Testament books in chronological order. The aim is not speed, but clarity. Not information but understanding. Not pressure, but enjoyment. My prayer is that this book helps remove the intimidation many feel when approaching the Bible, replaces confusion with confidence, and rekindles a hunger for God’s Word. When the structure becomes clear, the heart is free to engage the text again—and to burn with fresh understanding.
