From the introduction: Of all the topics that fall under the banner of Apologetics, the one that carries with it the most controversy, most passion, and unfortunately, the most deliberate deceit is Young Earth Creationism, or “YEC”. Moreover, if you’re one of the vast majority of people, Christian or not, whether you grew up in the Church or not, whether you attended a private or public school as a kid, who were taught and now believe that Darwinian evolution is a proven fact - an axiom, if you will, that forms the basis of all science - then this book is for you. This book is the first of a series where I will defend, and show you how to defend, a particular aspect of our Christian faith, usually one that carries with it some considerable debate or controversy. Others in this series will include defending the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, Christian Morality, The Christian Church, and Israel. For this installment, we literally start “in the beginning”. The negatives surrounding Young Earth Creationism would seem to make this field of Apologetics very undesirable. In recent years, the ridicule of Young Earth Creationists like me has devolved into open hostility and outright hatred. There are many, many people who don’t merely disagree with the idea of Creation but are actively hostile to it. I, for one, do believe that if they read this book they could potentially change their minds. For all of the potential backlash you might receive by taking this book’s message to heart, and even spreading it further and defending it, there is absolutely no doubt about how “worth it” it is to be on the side of Truth - and to be able to defend that Truth against all forms of attack.
