[Direction Changer] used this to plug an extension cord with straight plug into an outside/weather-protected Socket, and it is absolutely perfect. this as the only way to use an extension cord with a covered-weather-protected socket. It is seriously built. Solid. Good design. Excellent construction and materials. If you needed a 90 degree adaptor for use full time for a stereo, microwave, lights, etc. that is equal to or lower than this plug's rating, this is a good choice. Allows the use of a plug under a waterproof outlet cover.
