The exercises clear the meridians allowing chi to flow freely easing the spirit. The sun and moon keep with the tradition of opposite symbols on each ball, but they are characters with a blissful relationship. They need each other for balance. The sun represents light and hides when the moon, representing dark, is out. Each ball is handmade. The chimes are welded inside the ball and a small ball is placed inside with it. When the baoding balls are rotated, the internal ball will ring the chime. Since this is a handmade item, the tones of the chimes can vary from one another.
