Ideal for gift-giving, this audio Bible is designed to look like a leather-bound Holy Bible and comes in a beautiful white and orange box.
This electronic mini Bible has only a few buttons to move between the Old and New Testament or books and chapters. All buttons are easy to locate. A single dial controls volume and is also the pause and on/off switch. This technology has no screen, and no internet connection is required. An LED indicator light tells you if the device is on or off. The entire back of the Talking Bible is a speaker that can fill a room with sound without distortion, even for those who are hard of hearing. For personal listening, there is an audio jack to plug in your favorite headphones or wired earbuds. The Bible audiobook is clearly narrated in a soothing voice, and the sound does not interfere with hearing aids.
These devices were originally designed by missionaries in the rural and remote areas of Asia and Africa who were challenged by teaching the Gospel to people who could not read. They developed a simple machine, no more complicated than a radio, that read God’s message in the native languages of the areas they visited. These rugged electronic devices were designed for field mission work and to withstand the most severe conditions. A portion of each purchase is donated to Talking Bibles International, a global charity that carries on this calling.
